5 Up and Coming Local Chattanooga Businesses You Need to Know About
In case you didn’t already know by now, Chattanooga is a booming city. It’s been rated as the “Best in the U.S.” and “10 U.S. destinations you need to see in 2018” by Lonely Planet. With an emerging tech hub and low cost of living, millennials are jumping at the opportunity to call Chattanooga home. This has left a lot of space for entrepreneurs and business creatives to bring inventive nightlife and entertainment to this eager city. The city offers many incentives and assistance to new or existing businesses so it’s no wonder that so many business owners are flocking here. Here is a list of 5 up and coming local Chattanooga businesses to watch out for.
WanderLinger Brewing Company
Opening in September 2018, Wanderlinger Brewing Co. is the latest addition to Chattanooga’s emerging craft liquor scene. Mike, the co-owner and Master Brewer, got the idea to open his brewery when he was making craft beer from his garage, but his hobby quickly consumed the space, so he decided it was time to start sharing it with more people and make money in the process. Who doesn’t wish they could be pursuing something they genuinely love? The brewing company already has a following and has participated in many of Chattanooga’s fests and markets. Follow them on Instagram to see where they go next!

State of Confusion
The space that previously held an obscure treasure trove of objects, Estate of Confusion, is now being reimagined. State of Confusion promises to be a fusion of Latin American, New Orleans, and low-country food. The owners, Square One Holdings, wanted to still pay homage to the much-loved estate but revamped the place into “a concept that was very casual and fun,” according to CEO Allen Corey. They are also responsible for other popular hotspots like STIR so we can’t wait to see what’s in store for State of Confusion. Follow their Twitter for updates.

American Draft
Travel back to American Draft, a one of a kind beer hall housed inside a renovated train car. Pour your own beer from a selection of 29 drafts from all over the great United States. American Draft is located inside the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. It opened in November 2017, but don’t wait to go there — this well-known secret won’t stay secret for too long! Keep up with their events on their Instagram.

Play. Wash. Pint
Do exactly what the name suggests at Chattanooga’s only private, synthetic turfed dog park, self-wash station, and pint bar. At Play.Wash. Pint., your dog can play while you sit back and enjoy craft brews with other Nooga dog moms and dads. And yes they also have beer for dogs! This unique business opened up in September of 2017 and is already a big hit. Follow their Instagram for adorable snapshots from their park of doggy paradise.

Pints and Pedals
Steps away from Play. Wash. Pint., you’ll find the pickup location for Pints and Pedals, a unique experience that brings two things Chattanoogans love — being active and beer! Take a ride with a Nooga local while you lightly pedal bar to bar on a 15 passenger bike! The owner set up shop in Chattanooga because he loves meeting new people and seeing families and friends come together to create long-lasting memories. Chattanooga has some nightlife gaps but Pints and Pedals definitely fills that void in a non-traditional way. They already have quite a following on social media. Follow them for giveaways, deals, and to see what they do next!
