How booking works
When booking a tour with Pints and Pedals, you can choose to book seats on the bike (generally for smaller groups 2 – 6 people to pair up with others) or choose to rent the entire bike out (generally for larger groups 8-30 people). Reservations must be made in advance to reserve your time. All tours start and stop behind the revolving doors at The Moxy Hotel (1220 King St). All tours run 2 hours long with a couple of bar stops along the way. Once booked, you will get an e-mail confirmation with more instructions.
What to bring
DO Bring your own alcohol. Anything goes just no glass allowed on the bike. We provide 1 cooler with ice and cups to pour into. If your booking a private tour, you may wish to have a preloaded playlist of songs to hook up to our stereo. It’s a blast! Be sure to also bring a photo ID and have your WAIVER signed in advance before arriving. PLEASE plan on arriving 20 minutes early before your tour.
About the bike
Both bikes can seat up to 15 people, or rent out both bikes for 30! Both bikes have 10 pedal seats, 2 non pedal seats, and a back bench that seats 3 people. Yes, pedaling is part of the tour, however our electric motor assist makes the pedaling very easy, anyone can participate! The bikes come standard with a state-of-the-art stereo complete with Bluetooth hook ups and a subwoofer. At night, the party bikes are transformed with party lights to make it extra fun!
Stuff we get asked a lot.
For whatever reason, the weatherman gets it wrong in Chattanooga a lot! Maybe it’s the mountains? Show up unless you have heard from us otherwise.
Generally, if there is no lightning and the rain isn’t coming in sideways, THE SHOW WILL GO ON. Other than the bench seat, you are covered under the bike. You can bring an umbrella if you want.
If Pints and Pedals cancels your tour due to weather, it will be one hour or sooner before the tour starts and you will get the option of a refund or reschedule. You will need to reference your booking ID if you reschedule.
If you show up to the tour and it’s agreed upon between guests and the tour guide that it is too dangerous to go out, you have some options.
- Visit a local bar/restaurant and wait the storm out. Check with your driver to see if that’s an option, we don’t want to interfere with other tours.
- Cancel the tour and reschedule.
- Cancel and be fully refunded.
Anything is allowed, just no glass! Yes, that includes any kind of seltzers. We don't recommend liquor because it's quicker! You gotta last 2 hours on the bike remember! If you insist on bringing wine or liquor, put it in something plastic.
On Public Tours, you must be 21 years old. No exceptions. Photo ID will be required. On Private tours, minors are allowed. However, no alcohol can be on the bike if minors are present.
There are 10 pedal seats, 2 non-pedal seats and a 3-person non-pedaling bench for a total of 15 spots. Click on the bike section on our website to get a better visual. We have two bikes, so total capacity can be up to 30!
We provide the cooler and ice to keep your drinks cold. We also provide cups as your drinks must be consumed in a plastic cup on the tour. We have a sound system you can hook your smartphones up to and play your own music. Oh ya, and bring the party! If you wish to bring your own cooler, you certainly can but not necessary. We do not have a way to store your drinks before the tour FYI.
We encourage you to customize your Pints and Pedals experience by bringing your smartphone to play the music of your choice. Hook via Bluetooth Audio.
Tours go approximately 2 hours. If your tour goes longer, it probably means the tour guide likes you! Show some tip love! See the custom tour section if you wish to modify the tour length.

All tours start and stop on time. If you are running late, you are welcome to join us once the bike is stopped at the first bar/restaurant, which is usually somewhere on the newly renovated Station Street. If not there, try Southside Social or Clydes. Google is your friend. No partial refunds will be issued if you join the tour after it has already started. Unfortunately making reservations with deposits has been canceled. Payment in full is required at time of booking.
In order to get a booking confirmation, we require the booking total to be at least 6. If you are the first initial group to book and the total is not 6, we will reserve your card at check out and wait to see if we get 6. if we do, you card will be charged and you will receive a confirmation e-mail and text. If we do not get 6 people 2 hours before the tour, we will decline your reservation on the tour and refund any pending charges.
YES! This is a pedal bike and your effort is needed to move the bike. The effort required is like pedaling a single speed bike when you were a kid. Pedaling is easier with more people so bring your friends! WE do, however have electric motor assist now to make this a lot easier.
There will be several stops throughout your tour on your bike route. You will pedal no further than 1.5 miles total. Yeah, you can do this!
That is entirely up to you or you can trust your tour guide to steer you in the right direction. Tours typically stay in the Southside Chattanooga area and we frequently visit Fountain Head Tap Room, Hi Fi Clyde's, Southside Social, Backstage Bar & Sing it or Wing it. Typically we will stop at 2-3 places. The length of the stay at each establishment is up to the group and the tour guide.
Per city code, drinks ordered at bars are not allowed to be brought onto the bike. Ask for your tab when you order your drink so there are no delays getting back on the bike.
YES! This is the preferred method. Once you sign up for a tour, a link will be provided for you to sign the waiver. If you paid for more than 1 person, please forward the e-mail or link to them so they can sign in advance.
Absolutely! For private tours only. Just let us know in advance and show up 30 minutes early to decorate.
Tours are booked with credit cards only. Cash will not be accepted to book a tour. Drivers do accept cash for tips. If they did a great job and you had fun, show them some love! If you forget the cash for a tip no problem, our drivers can accept tips on Venmo.
Once you step off the bike, you are done drinking. DO NOT bring your red solo cup into the moxy, or any other open container. Any unopened beer cans will be returned to you. Any open cans will not. Please dispose of your trash in the trash can provided.
No refunds will be given for cancellations within 7 days of the tour.
In your e-mail booking confirmation, you have ability to make some modifications and changes to your booking. Adding additional guests must be done on our website. You can do this be by simply rebooking the same date, time, and blue or yellow bike if it is a public tour. On a private tour, you do not need do do anything. You have 15 seats already included. Booked 2 private tours? Then you have 30 automatically included.
Absolutely nothing, except one bike is blue and one is yellow. They do not represent different routes we take or anything like that.
